9-Day Itinerary: Tangier to Marrakech via North & South

Day 1 · Tangier Arrival – City Exploration

Pickup from Tangier port or airport. Explore the cosmopolitan city of Tangier: Cap Spartel, Hercules Caves, Kasbah, and the medina. Overnight in a traditional riad in Tangier.

Day 2 · Tangier – Chefchaouen (The Blue Pearl)

Morning drive to the stunning blue-washed city of Chefchaouen nestled in the Rif Mountains. Free afternoon to explore its photogenic streets, artisan shops, and relax in the mountain atmosphere.

Day 3 · Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Depart to the Roman ruins of Volubilis (UNESCO), continue to Meknes to see the monumental Bab Mansour gate, then arrive in Fes, Morocco's spiritual and cultural capital. Overnight in a Fes riad.

Day 4 · Fes – Guided Medina Tour

Full day guided tour of Fes el-Bali (UNESCO), including the tanneries, Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the vibrant souks. Free evening to explore.

Day 5 · Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Travel through the Middle Atlas, stop in the Swiss-style town of Ifrane, cross the cedar forests of Azrou (Barbary apes), then descend via Ziz Valley to Merzouga. Evening camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and overnight in a luxury desert camp.

Day 6 · Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Sunrise camel ride back, visit the traditional market of Rissani, drive through the dramatic Todra Gorge, and continue to the stunning Dades Valley for overnight in a kasbah-style hotel.

Day 7 · Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
